TRAINING AIM / TOPICS

The aim of the training was to improve driver safety on the road by equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to handle various driving scenarios, thereby enhancing operational efficiency. The program included theoretical sessions, practical exercises, and interactive discussions. Topics treated include Vehicle Maintenance, The Laws of Driving In Ghana (Act 683, 2004; Act 993, 2019; Li 2180, 2012; Li 2468, 2022), Defensive Driving Techniques (Scanning, Hazard Recognition, Causes of Crashes, Fatigue, Speeding and Over Speeding etc.) and Components of the Vehicle. (Vehicle Suspension System).

 TRAINING OBJECTIVES

  1. Improving drivers’ awareness of potential hazards on the road.
  2. Enhancing understanding of driving laws in Ghana.
  3. Developing drivers’ ability to anticipate and respond to dangerous situations.
  4. Reducing accidents and injuries caused by driver error.
  5. Providing insights into vehicle maintenance and defensive driving techniques.
  6. Promoting responsible driving behavior.
